32 yr old female--melanoma? So very worried *pic*

Hello, I have had a mole on my bck for as long as I coulf remember. A few years I had it looked at by a dermatologist and they said it was fine. NowI just noticed it has a sore on the middle and and a spot. I am very worried. Thoughts appreciated.

    You probably have absolutely nothing to worry about, but I would get it checked out anyway.

    As long as the color is solid throughout the mole it's probably normal.  A melanoma mole will have shades of the same color - like brown or black, or splotches of different colors such as white, red, gray, black or blue.  It also develops a ragged crust which I see you don't have.  Keep an eye on it though for any change or it gets larger.  But I think you're fine.

    As it is a few years since a dermatologist looked at it I would get it checked out.  It is probably nothing but you seem to have a skin that is prone to moles/freckles so any change needs to be checked.   Hope you use plenty of high factor sun cream.
