Adenmyosis and breathing problems

has anyone been diagnosed with adenmyosis that is feeling pressure on diaphragm making getting a breath difficult. It is one of the causes my  doctor is looking at as to why I sometimes can't get a deep breath in. Maybe due to organs been pressed on ?

    Hi Julie

Atm Im having some sort of gallbladder or biliary issues but have also had dx of bulky uterus, fibroids and adenomyosis.

So far the adenomyosis has only shown on one ct scan and a gyno specialist said that you had to get a scan done at the "right" time of the month for it to be seen. According to her the only way to truly dx is post hysterectomy when they do biopsies.

My ribcage is sore and days it is uncomfortable to inhale deeply.

I think mine is gyno and gb combined.

Im due for a hysterectomy late next month but am worried about this rotten gb flaring while recovering.

Bulky uterus, clots during menstruation, heavy or extended periods, pain including abdominal, thigh, hip and rib etc may be all signs of adenomyosis as well as others. Ive read where a very bulky uterus full of fibroids including

adenomyosis can cause symptoms as you describe.

My gyno said depending on age and circumstances that options include the mirena ? (spelling) and hysterectomy which I opted for as im 50 and fed up.

Best wishes, hope you get it sorted soon. If you feel okay with it, I would be interested to hear the follow up and outcome of yr treatment.

Oh my!!! It's like you are talking about the exact same symotoms, but only that I didn't even know such a thing existed. I do feel the pressure on my diaphragm and it gets very hard to breathe. But all these days I thought it was directly linked to gerd. Since the acid comes up in throat and and that makes it hard to breathe. But like you said I do have cramps throughout my periods and Everytime I eat I feel that my food is sitting right there on the top of my stomach and won't go down. I have lost so much appetite and the reflux makes it so bad.

I want to ask you if you have a bad bloated stomach at all times. I felt these symptoms starting after my second delivery. And now they have gotten worse. Thank you for posting this as I can talk to my doctor about this.

If you have something else that I should know about please do let me know.

Get your gp to check everything askfor an uss of your tummy and a gastro referall to make sure you don't have a hiatus hernia as that can cause reflux and can press on your diaphragm . Thats what I was tested for at first . Good luck not being able to get abreath is horrible.
