Am I really experiencing anxiety symptoms?

Long story short, I felt head pressure all over my head, like a rubber band tightening at times, and persistent dizziness(very mild but debilitating) for two weeks. This alarmed me, and warranted me to get an MRI. As soon as I got my MRI results, my neurologist said he didnt see anything and I thought I was good to go, my symptoms settled down, and I started to feel good. However, the MRI came back positive, and apparently, I have a 3mm x 3mm white lesion on my cerebellum. Radiologist suspected it to be a microvascular ischemia lesion. I went to see a neurosurgeon, he suspected it to be a demyelinating part of my brain. I passed all of his neurological tests as well. However, I am terrified that its brain cancer! The neurosurgeon told me this lesion would be too small to even cause symptoms and that it does not look like cancer, or a tumor at all. He told me hes 99.05% sure its not cancer or a tumor, and will be 99.99% sure after another MRI with contrast this time.

Ill admit, im a huge hypochondriac, but how is it possible to feel extreme fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, slight nausea, head pressure for almost a month straight, almost everyday as well, all from anxiety?! I feel like im trapped in a viscious cycle of this.. I have to wait another two weeks for my next MRI, hoping my doctors are right, that its nothing serious like a brain tumor.

You are suffering some disociated feelings of a Cancer,Tumour.

Wait you your next MRI your Specialist seems to be touching base so hopfully everything will show negative.

In my brain I have what looks like a spiders web, caused by age. It is unrelated to my Short Term Memory. I will be starting my retests soon, with a scan I will not worry about it as they say, they are crossing the ts and dotting the Is. We have Christmas and New Year coming up and I just cannot worry regards health I am where I want to be whatever the results, I trust my Mental Health Team. Stop worrying.

I wish I was as mentally strong as you, to not worry about our problems and to focus on the good of the holidays coming up.. but with daily symptoms, its just so hard to try and forget about it. This thing has led me into depression, its honestly debilitating on my life. I just got a call, im having my MRI with contrast tomorrow, hopefully I am okay.

      Kurt.

Do not worry regards tomorrow, we are put here for a reason and we live to that tune.

I have tests every few months and by now I accept my lot as if I did not I would be making others unhappy, like you tomorrow I have a meeting with my CPN to discuss my disabilities and associated mental health problems. Now I look on all my hands on treatments as a necessary and my CPN someone who is looking after my mental health, who most probably has something similare to what I complain of

i generally can go through various tests a year, this year three or four, now I just wait for my results and I just accept their shows.

It is not worth the worry, let us know how you get on

      Bob

This is something you have to leave to the doctors. Its not really anything anyone can answer for you.

In terms of being afraid right now, they do not feel its dangerous. Accept that. I dont know what to say to actually calm you down here. Anyone would be concerned. I will say trust the doctors. They will follow up with any tests them deem neccessary. A nuerosurgeon is a well educated professional. You can always take the two mris when this is all completed and get a second opinon and they will have the mris to review them.

I wish all the best. This is a stressful patch of time for you. On a very good note they do not think its an important thing to worry about and they would know. Taking tests and awaiting results are very anxious situations..please dont google anything. Believe me the nuerosurgeon is a well trained doctor.
