im 17 years old. been having heart palpitations and chest pains at night and I can't sleep. I've had trouble swallowing. But the thing is I don't feel anxious or a sense of doom. I'm not in a lot of pain but I can't sleep and it just kinda freaks mad out. I told my parents tell my I have anxiety, and he's a doctor so I really do believe him, but it feels like im gonna have a heart attack whenever I almost fall asleep, my heart skips a beat and I jolt awake. This has only been happening for the past 2 days. I have so many symptoms, like blood in stool, foggy vision, ringing in ears, but not a true sense of doom? I'm wondering if I could have heart disease at this young an age, because that's what it feels like and I don't even feel I eat unhealthy. Could someone please help me? I really wanna be able to go to sleep without having a heart attack.

Edit: this also happened pretty spontaneously, I don't really have anything to panic about. My mom took me to doctor and my results were 100 percent fine but my chest just sit feels really really weird and so weak and like its gonna stop but I just ran a mile today no problem? I just want to know how to sleep tonight and get rid of the heart palpitations. This is all just very knew to me and I didn't few this way a few days ago.

Hi Gracie.
So your results were all fine. That's good news.
You're worrying about nothing, darling. Lots of anxious people can feel palpitations but that doesn't mean you're going to have a heart attack.
Sleep easy.

Sounds like health anxiety to me, worrying about having certain symptoms can cause you to experience the physical symptoms the jumping awake happens to me regularly also heart skips beat blood feels like it's making my body pulsate and can feel my heart beat all over.
When you're falling asleep your body is most likely turning off before your mind this happens to me which when I'm on the verge of passing out I feel as if " my heart has stopped I've stopped breathing" which instinctively makes me jump awake in a panic, I've found sometimes you just need to take your mind off of it, maybe put a movie on you know and love or tv show leave to volume loud enough to know
what's happening to distract yourself from what's happening with your body.
unfortunately for me I've lived with this for years will come on and off for weeks at a time I hope yours goes away soon and this could help at all. You're not alone!
