I don't normally sign up to forums like this but It seemed active, Recently I've been geting black flickering around the entire outside on my vision which last anywhere from 2-10 seconds (In both eyes, I've tested closing one and the other while the flickering is taking place to see If it was a specific one) I've had flashes of light before afew times of the past 3 years but made nothing of it, have floaters and such (I'm 22) but this new black flickering like I'm closing my eyes really really fast but they're wide open Is rather confusing and I can't find anything related to it, Anyone have any guesses?

Hi Jayden,  it could be anything, go to an Optometrist & have your eyes checked.  If s/he finds anything abnormal, s/he can refer you to the  eye clinic at your local hospital.

    Don't leave it.

Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Well i started to get these milisecond black flash visions for nearly a month ago. Firstly, it happend once when i was outside ( feeling that plane just passed with full blocking of view) and then after week when i was lying in my bed early morning i got several of these but it seemed shorter.I have to say that i was really at that time anxious and stressed so this symptom made my health anxiety went through the roof. So i went to see directly neurologist , which told me that there is no concern , but if i really want he could send me on MRI , but he was confident that its not brain tumor or something related. So basically he said to be on safe side you could do but not recommended in general. MRI showed no pathologies except that isolated sphenoditis( which is sinus infection) .Then i went to ENT which was not concerned at all and said that vision problem hardly related with my rare sinusitis( which was a bit awkward for me because this sinus sometimes cause visual disturbances , but thats only google info not doctor) . He prescribed antibiotics and asked to show up after a month. So afterwards i decided to see eye doctor to finalize my research why it just happend. All was clear, except that i will need glasses in future. So all in all , i didn't find a cause , everybody in general told that it could be tachycardia or something like when you anxious your pressure goes up and there is some circulation minor problems or its caused from stress and anxiety. I still dont exclude sinus problem but if doctor told that unlikely...then i dont know. But in general i just wanted to share my story because i googled a lot about it , and lack of stories frightened me , so im sharing mine. Maybe i get these even know but as i ruled out i dont notice them.
