Had vag hysterectomy 11 weeks ago and went toilet before bed and after passing urine the tissue had small amount of blood, I also noticed last night my pad had a stain of blood on it. Has this happened to anyone else so long after op or have any ideas what could be please x

Hey, i had my Vaginal Hysterectomy 10 months ago and i didn't experience any bleeding. I'm dealing with a lot of pain in my stomach. I'm seeking advice from a Specialist in Urology. I thought having this procedure would make me feel better because i had two prior surgeries where the doctor removed fybroid tumors. I'm so depressed and i regret having this procedure. I think i should have thought this thru. I think your bleeding will get better. Every woman body is different. Just keep a watch on it.

Don't worry as this is normal to get some bleeding as I had abodinmal hysterectomy and had some bleeding but it goes after a bit as that's why they tell you to buy towels when you have it done

Hi Lauday, probably best to go to the docs or ring the hospital ward just to make sure and put your mnd at rest rather than taking advice about 'normality' and ignoring it. If I read you correctly, you were not 'spotting' for 11 weeks but now are. If it was me, I woud check back with the hospital ward but I am sure everything will be fine. Take care.

Thank you for all your replies. I've had no bleeding today but a few stomach cramps. I will see how I go over weekend and see doctor if it carries on. Good luck with your recoveries xx

I had a full Lapriscopy Hysterectomy May 3rd due Uterine Cancer. I had similar spotting. I emailed my Doctor emediatly. She told me it is normal as long as it's not bright red and you are not soaking a pad. It's scar tissue most likely. It went away the next day and never had spotting again. When in doubt! Always call your Doctor.
I still have lower pelvic pain and tonight my left lower pelvic has shooting pains. It's been lingering for some time now and now a sharper pain getting my attention.
