Bleeding between bowel movements..?

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi, I noticed that I've had a bit of bleeding in between going to the loo, it's just a tiny amount on the paper and not every time, I've noticed it a few times now. I've had bleeding with bowel movements a lot before and always thought nothing of it as was told that piles are very common esp after having a baby (LO is 1 now). I've been to the dr who couldn't see a fissure or haemorrhoid on inspection, she said that is was a bit concerning. I've been referred to a specialist but am now very worried and thinking the worst! Has anyone else had this?

    Hi Charlotte

It's a very anxious time for you now-all I can say is wait for session with specialist to see what he says- don't google anything as it can make your fears worse.

May not be as serious as you think.

    Susan.

Hi Charlotte I'm going through the same thing. I'm 26 had bleeding for around 6 weeks no haemorrhoids have abdominal pain in upper right side also lower middle, a change in my stool (sorry for tmi) I've been referred to a specialist but can't get in for 3 months which is making me more nervous.

I really hope things work out well for you.

    Hi Mel,

I've just had my specialist apt today. They did an exam with a camera and this time did find a haemorrhoid. But the dr said he wanted to do a further exam with a flexible camera to check the entire colon. I asked why it would bleed without a bowel movement and he didn't really have a reason other than they are fragile and can do that.

I'll update more after the procedure.
