Breath smells like faeces (Poo)
Posted , 379 users are following.
I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

Hey Pluto,
In some cases I have heard that having the tonsils removed was the culprit. Myself however, I had mine removed last month and the smell is still there. I've seen a periodontist, she did a root cleaning. No change. Had a colonoscopy, they found a couple of polyps, no change. I can brush, floss, Listerine, tongue scrape all day until the cows come home, but the problem is still there. If you have found the solution, PLEASE PLEASE share.

A huge number of things can cause this issue Fatty liver or liver disease is up there with the top causes along with tonsil stones and infections and chronic synus. Unfortunately have found no real quick fix and GP don't often know what to do. Go see specialist particularly if you have other symptoms like sore throat, difficulty swallowing, ear pain. swollen tonsils. white or yellow debris on the tonsil. Practice good oral hygiene, including cleaning the bacteria off the back of your tongue when you brush your teeth. S
Gargle salt water, which can prevent tonsil stone formation and eliminate the odor they cause.
Drink the recommended daily requirement of water and stay hydrated.

Hi Lucy,
Can you give more details on the pill?
You also mentioned using extra virgin olive oil & basalmic vinegar...have you been using them, how & does it help?
Thanks

First determine if the source of the problem is in the mouth or the throat??
if the throat then do this.
In the shower have the water as hot as you can stand it. the spray must strong and hard. (I once used a garden hose)
Turn your face up into the spray and let it hammer away at your throat. Swallow TWICE.
Now if you smell it you know you're on the right track but you may not yet so continue.
Do it again. I did it again for three days straight and now once a week or 2. SMELLNOMORE
It was such a joyous relief when i realized my idea worked.
Good luck, hope this helps
