Broken wrist

hi I broke my wrist 2 weeks ago and had a closed reduction, never felt pain like it, X-ray this week has shown that the bone has moved but the specialist has said its acceptable at the moment!  I am not allowed to put any weight on it so movement is very  difficult. I was still using crutches following a hip replacement and have now damaged the ligaments in the operated leg so am confined to a wheelchair.  My thumb is totally numb is this normal ??

No not normat. Nerve damage or poor circulation get it sorted asap.

Poor you. It sounds like your median nerve is affected which could be caused by swelling of the wrist or your cast (assuming you have one) being too tight but whatever the case do get proper medical advice as soon as you can.

NOooo absolutely NOT normal. Insist you have X-rays again perhaps the crooked bone has something to do with it.
