You could have Interstitial Cystitis. Bladder wall might be inflamed and raw and it feels like a constant UTI in he absence of any infection. Ask your doctor for a cystoscopy with hydrodistention. They expand your bladder wall with water past usually volume to check for microscopic tears and bleeding that can't be seen under regular cystoscopy. Good luck. I hope it isn't IC as there is no cure and it's a chronic condition and can be quite painful.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. I will ask my dr. About it. I have such burning as if my pelvic, bladder area is on fire from the inside out. Do you have Interstitial Cystitis?

I don't believe I have IC although it was introduced to me as a possibility three and a half years ago when my bladder symptoms of frequency and urgency suddenly began. I am in multiple Facebook support groups for those with IC. That burning feeling you describe is shared by many with IC and often the burning and pain gets worse as the bladder fills. However, there could be other possibilities so I would certainly speak to your dr. Unfortunately IC seems to be a diagnosis of exclusion meaning they will test for other things first to rule out other causes. And if it is IC, there are many lifestyle changes and treatments to try to try to alleviate symptoms and get into "remission" as those with IC call it.

    Hello,

I had what I thought was a uti for the last few months aswell however after all my tests repeatedly came back clear I've came to the realisation that I think it feels more like the burning is actually coming from my bladder. Over Christmas my symptoms worsened and it also felt like I was having severe pain in my urethra, shooting pains and spasms and this made me feel absolutely miserable. My doctors are a waste of time and don't have a clue what's wrong but I researched online and felt IC sounded similar to what I was experiencing. I'm waiting on an appt to urology but the waiting time is 6 months where I live sad. I hope we both don't have IC but if you're seen by a specialist sooner please let me know how you get on as it would be interesting to hear. I've recently started taking a few vitamins such as marshmallow root, l'arginne and cranberry every day and I think these may have slightly helped however I've tried so many different things I'm not sure what's helped or not.

    Get better soon!

Hello, thank you so much for your reply. I'm really lost. I am burning like fire from the inside out. Yesterday I received this report on my urine test that said

      Mixed flora isolated .

Mixed organisms are present indicating probable contamination or colonization

      not related to infection.

Further work up of these organisms may result in clinically misleading

information due to low numbers and/or mixture of organisms present.

      Now, I'm really confused. smile

So pleased to come across this discussion as I am currently suffering from this awful burning sensation which is hard to cope with.Sometimes it goes with a urine infection but more often not.I can go a couple of months ok then it starts up again, sometimes in the night when its woken me up.I have a Drs appointment later this week, hoping to get some relief from this discomfort

Oh this is very confusing! Was your doctor able to shed any light on what this means?

If you're asking me that question, no, I have an ultra sound Thudsray and then next Thursday I have a Cystopocpy . The Urogyn said it's a very common thing to be done and unless there is a biopsy done, there is little bleeding afterwards.
