Bv, and tea tree oil tampon??

Posted , 3 users are following.

I just got my period a couple days back and my period blood smells a little peculiar. I want to put tea tree on a tampon, but I don't have a base to apply before it. I ran out of my coconut oil 😳...should I go on ahead and use a little on a tampon?? What's the worst that could happen?? I don't get irritation from using the tea tree oil..

I think you should be fine. I use tea tree oil without delute most times. You may even delute with water if you don't feel safe using only the tea tree oil.

Has it helped diminish odor?? Also how long did it stay away?

I did tea tree bc I had a yeast infection on top of my cycle. I thought the tea tree would help. If it smells fishy then u have a bacteria infection, if it smells musky you probably need to change tampon more often rather then every 3-4hrs. It's normal for our cycle to have a bad scent too it though, they taught us that in health class in high school.

It didn't smell like the usual, and generally I do not leave my tampons in longer that 4 hours.

OH NO I made this same mistake, it was horrible an I felt like I was on fire 🔥. Water would not help either only felt worse. You definitely need an oil base it will burn like crazy if you don't... speaking from a really really bad experience 😰
