Hi, this is inflammation of the lungs. I have this also! Are you finding it hard to walk far and breathe?

Hi ...thanks for replying. Yes. I get really breathless if I walk fast or climb the stairs...

How long have you had it?

I have had it on and off 5years. Worst was last year, lasting nearly 5 months before diagnosis. Have you had it long?

Since Christmas....is there any treatment to get rid of it?

Not sure how they will treat you, but different steroids. Have they given you anything yet? You also had a long wait for diagnosis! Have you had a flare similar before? Hope you get sorted soon.

I don't know what's caused it ? I see the respiratory Dr July 20th. It was my GP that told me today that I had it. He looked at the hospitals notes for the result of my c t scan. I'm worried sick. Will it get worse ?

As far as I am aware, as I am still seeing the respiratory specialist. They still havn't got what the trigger is yet. It is allergy related. I had skin tests too, which were positive to allergens. Cld be anything they say. Chemical we use or dogs cats etc. I have had the ct scans and nodes taken away too. Soon as I start meds it goes but comes back if I am in contact with the trigger. Still havn't found it.

      Are you asthmatic?

Thank you ...for taking the time to answer. I have a bit of asthma when I have seasonal hayfever but not bad. They gave me clarithromycin when they told me I had pneumonia and it's stopped my cough and I haven't been as breathless but I'm still breathless on exertion. I did inhale bleach when cleaning my shower and felt sick and faint and also sprayed my house with cat flea spray and went a bit overboard and done it twice in a short time. Wondering if that may have caused it...

That's ok. Oh yes, that is good if you have an idea of what might have triggered it. Maybe look to see if both items have the same chemical in? I get short of breath around chemicals and perfume.

I know you will be worrying, I did, didn't sleep well for a long time. No one had heard of it before.

      Hope you feel abit better.
