Diahorrea for over a week since I stopped taking lansoprazole and feel sick

I have had really bad tummy for over a week since stopping lansoprazole but started with loose stools several weeks earlier after being on the drug for about 7 weeks. All the doctors tests so far are normal, really desperate to know when this will stop? Can anyone help?

    Hi there, can't really answer your question but just wanted to say that I have similar. I'm on Esomeprazole. Stopped 4 days ago and have loose stools, bloating and nausea. How are you feeling now?

    Hi well I stopped the tablets but have since found out I have serve gastitis and have had to start them again. I have had them for about a month and I still have very loud grumbling guts and very loose stools very morning. I'm waiting to see a gasto consultant but have been told as I have hiatus hernia I will probably have to stay on them!! I hope there is something else I can take, will have to wait and see. How are you?

    I am on the same drug for suspected stomach ulcer but have been passing 'brown water' for a few years now with bloating and tummy pains. a strange bruise has now come up on my tummy, i am seeing a consultant this afternoon, maybe ask your doc for a referral? hope it gets better soon
