Obtaining medicines

Posted , 2 users are following.

My American wife, who lives with me in the UK, had all hers, and mine, medications taken in a break-in at my daughter`s house. She has diabetes (she uses pills and insulin), and high blood pressure. My wife is on a visa to stay in England.

Does anyone know what we can do to obtain replacement meds for her? We live in the Leeds area, and i am not sure if there are "free" clinics where she can seek help, or if we have to go somewhere else for help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

She just goes to any GP practice (pref yours) as a temporary patient.

    Good luck

You can call the pharmacy, and let them know the medications were stolen. You may need to have a copy of the police report when you call. Or you can call the prescribing doctor and explain the situation so that they will refill the prescriptions.

Just realized, her pharmacy is probably in the U.S. so that won't work for you. Your best bet would be a low cost clinic.
