Ramipril-long term use

Has anybody been on Ramipril-long term use, like 6 years? Have u had any side-effects like nausea sometimes?

    Any drug can cause side effects.  I wasn't on Ramipril long enough to suffer from nausea.  It caused a cough, so I was taken off it and put on a different drug.  My BP has been much better since then.

    Have you discussed it with your GP or BP Clinic?

    I have to agree with mrsmop, I had the same problem ie: cough, my medication was changed ,and my blood pressure is now under control ,,,,I hope,

    Graham, yes I experienced nausea and fleeting head pain very shortly after starting Ramipril a few months ago.  It was a second 'go' at it after getting really ill with an autoimmune disease within a couple of weeks of starting it the first time around some years ago.  Wasn't taking any chances this time so stopped it as soon as the side effects arrived.

    Started on Ramipril March 2006 after a heart attack.

    Aslo take simvastatin, atenanol, lanxaprozole and asprin.

    Not had any problems with all these.
