Hi. Obviously I don't know your afrenal gland problem, but be careful of beta blockers as I had them and went into anaphylactic shock due to taking them I had a pheo plus Cushing's syndrome and if it's possibly a pheo then you shouldn't take beta blockers so best not to risk ot.  Not all doctors know this

Hi, The reason I mentioned about the dangers of beta blockers is that you wrote to the forum under the adrenal disorders. So, I thought that maybe you knew you had a problem with your adrenal glands. Is this the case? I had a tumour on my left adrenal gland and I always thought it was something called pheochromocytoma which is what pheo is short for, well not only me it was a renal specialist who suspected it that I had gone to see because I have had high blood pressure for a very long time which wasn't responding to the conventional blood pressure medication. From my symptoms especially having a bad reaction to beta blockers he thought it was that. I had urine tests and scans and that is when the tumour showed up. I was over producing noradrenaline, which makes you very anxious. Do you get bad tremors? I was awful. However, the endocrine specialists all disagreed with him despite the urine test results and it took me years seeing 3 different endocrine specialists to get them to agree.  I also had high cortisol again due to the adrenal gland and that is when they did some more tests and decided that the gland needed removing. I had it done last May and immediately the tremors stopped. I was still suffering with anxiety but for a different reason my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer just before my operation!  He has since passed away on the 1st November.  So, can you tell me why you wrote to the adrenal disorder forum?
