Escitalopram and fainting

Hello

Has anyone experienced fainting/passing out and even falling over - like vertigo - when taking escitalopram?

I take 20 mg per day and great as it is as an antidepressant, I'm sure - I can just "feel it" - these tablets are causing these side effects.

Heart has been checked at hospital and all OK, as is BP.

Hi, How long have you been taking Escitalopram?  Is the fainting new? Sometimes and inner ear infection can cause vertigo. A label on my Rx states that Escitalopram can cause dizziness.  I hope you get things sorted out, fainting/passing out are scary.

Hi - been taking it about 15 months, but the problems started in the summer, after having tonsils out!

I've had various checks at the docs and vertigo was ruled out. I was laid on a bed and raised up and down quickly, then my eyes examined or something, all OK

My daughter has passed out several times taking this drug. She just went to emergency and they said when she sat down her heart rate went to the low 40's. When she stood up, it climbed to the 60's. She got off those pills and has only got a little dizzy once. This drug could have killed her! Did you experience something like this?
