Has anyone tried Troo Step for PF?

    Hi Ann, 

    You will have to explain what Troo Step is as I've never heard of it.

      Hi Soxy, Troo Step is an in-step that conforms to one's feet. I can't really explain it in detail but if you just type Troo Step into your computer it should explain things a lot better than me. They cost £19.99 and I don't want to waste anymore money on something that might not work. I know there is a guarantee that comes with them if they don't work for you but I don't want to take that chance.

    I don't thnk they would work.

    I have had 2 pairs of NHS orthotics made, one like concrete and anothe softer set.

    they say you need firm ones to give you support. I had a lovely set made very soft but good support in arch for £50.

    now another pair made by a specialist who has been treating my feet for last 2 months.....get next week.

    bt heck gotta keep trying.... Will have a look at them. If there is a guarantee you surely can't lose?

    i really think the only thing that solves this condition is time.

    I looked it up but really think it's best finding a private biomechanics person and having a good set of orthotics made. I have a whole box of over the counter insoles and they are no good. You have to have something bespoke. It s expensive but worth it if you end up spending the same of loads of insoles. Cx

      Hi Caroline40706, I have decided not to go for Troo Step but yet again looking at this forum one has to wonder if those that are made especially are any good either. I have read so many discussions that say they have spent a fortune getting custom made insoles and they have been discarded because there was not an iota of relief, whether NHS or private.  I would like to visit my GP again but to be honest I don't want to waste his time because there are so many people who are worse off than me in so many ways. Until someone writes on this forum that their PF has been fixed because of wearing this or wearing that or because of a really good exercise that resolved the problem nearly 100% then I'm going to have to wait and see.

    I totally agree with you AnneB.  Most of these things, ie. inserts etc. don't do an iota of good and they are expensive.  I too won't be buying anything else 'guaranteed' to cure until I have a 100 per cent guarantee that they work.  Only time heals this complaint and sometimes tie takes years.... I know this for a fact.
