Hi there
I have arranged to have a blood test to cover a couple of things, notably Vitamin B12, Magnesium and Full Vitamin D. As it stands, I am in vitamins which contains all of these...would anyone have a rough estimate as to how long roughly it takes for these to get out my system? I don't want to do the blood test with artifically higher in my system due to the vitamins, only to then therfore see my results are normal and not knowing for 100% if it's due to the vits or not!
Any answers would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

As far as I am aware it can vary from person to person, as well as from vitamin to vitamin.
For instance, your body doesn't have any way to store Vitamin B for a long time, so it generally gets flushed out daily. However, the rate at which it is excreted depends on the individual's hydration levels and urination frequences. On the other hand, your body can rid of Vitamin D over the course of a fortnight but probably longer. Vitamin D is generally stored in the body's fat, so a person's weight and fat ratio will have an impact.
Sorry I couldn't be more help!
