Thanks to all for the exchanges going on-certainly helps to alleviate some anxiety/apprehension. Interesting to note how in UK colonoscopies seem to be conducted under sedation-here in France a general aneaesthetic is common as in USA (am told by my GP tis very light anaesthetic)..which is a relief -since dont want to feel to groggy.
I have had this wierd kind of sensation in my back passage ( kinda like a tension-not too dissimilar to the kind of sensation of having your knickers caught up right there!) As it happens I do have a fibroid which has been there for some time which also seems to be pressing close to rectum(this could account for the pressure along with mild internal piles).
There is no cause for concern over fibroid according to the ultra sound-and am being monitored for a year to check out if its shrinking.. (Hoping the acupuncture helps with this). Am 66 and a colonoscopie was recommended just to check things out.
Scheduled to take CitraFleet later today-1st lot at 19 hrs and next lot tomorrow at 06 00am..gotta be at the hospital at 11.15am.. Wish me luck. Had my lunch around 2pmish-not gonna have anything more to eat-although a light supper is authorised for 6.30pm..must admit not feeling hungry.
