Headache, dizziness, and neck pain

Has anyone else experienced weekly headaches that just seem to last no matter how much sleep you get or water you drink? I also have neck pain in which I have already seen both chiropractor and physical therapist for. When I have these headaches, I feel pressure behind my ways so intense I can't stand bright lights. On top of all this I am dizzy, however, my balance is totally fine. I have already been to an ENT specialist and had an MRI, etc. Only thing I haven't moved onto is a neurologist because I already am racking up my medical bills and yes I have health insurance but a crappy one at that! Please help. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, what did you do to rid it?

Much appreciated!

I have the same symptoms and have had them for a year now. I get head pressure in back of head and pain along with stiff and tension in neck. It causes nausea and lightheadedness. I have had Mri, catscan, all types of test. Been to ent and neurologist and still no clue. I am starting to think either circulation or autoimmune related. Very weird. I also have my neck and top of head are ice cold to touch

Tension headaches or possible migraines. I'm currently in the middle of a tension headache period right now myself and I hate it. I've had mine for three months, they last all day. it's only completely left me alone for about 4 weeks but when it's here if makes me hurt and I. Get cranky because it bothers me and I get so dizzy and nauseous sometimes and ugh I know it's a scary feeling but all you have to do it lower your stress levels. It's usually caused by depression, anxiety or simply just by tensing up your muscles. Remember your scalp has muscles that tense up with your neck muscles

I recently started yoga which is supposed to help with the relaxation of the mind and muscles but I just don't know what else to do? What do you do to help your symptoms and relax?

Mine feels more like little zinger pains shooting from back of head to top of head along with stiff neck and nausea. Even had times when feels like blood pressure drops. Anyone ever expierenced the cold to touch sensation on neck and head.

I was going to suggest yoga as well. I had been having constant headaches and a lot of shoulder/neck pain. Countless visits to the doctors but there was no solution.

I've been doing yoga and the pain has reduced significantly. Apparently it was stress that caused a hormone and acid imbalance (according to the yoga instructor).

Anyway it's working so far and I hope it works for you too!

There's really not much else to do but just try and relax and forget about it. If you keep thinking about it, it'll stay there. Just try and not let it consume you. I haven't found anything that helps me other than just trying to forget about it. Try using a muscle pain relieving cream like Bengay or Vic's vapor rub on your temples and your neck. That help ease the tension sometimes

That sounds like a migraine to me. Your head can make you feel so many weird littke feelings when you're anxious about it and when you continue thinking about it. Sometimes I just feel a pressure in my temple, sometimes it's a pressure all around, sometimes it comes from my neck, sometimes it's just a burning pain, it ranges from different feelings, the nausea, well considering I'm constantly worrying about it, it's no surprise that my anxiety makes me nauseous most of the time lol

Look at the sternocleidomastoid muscle. I was going through the same symptoms for eight months and have been to all the doctors with no results however came across a sprained/stained sternocleidomastoid muscle will cause all the symptoms I was having. I then performed the exercises they speak of and within five mins they all went away. Good luck

Standing up, turn your head opposite of the effected side/muscle. Tilt head back at a 45. Use you effected side hand and run it down the back side of your leg as far as you can. You will feel the stretch in the muscle. Good luck

I felt Althea's sane symptoms just 3 days ! I blacked out at my house! My husband thought I had a sezier. Spent 3 hrs in the ER. My blood pressure was so low I couldn't respond or move. Postassium  was low and I was dehydrated.  But they discharged me as being anxious! Going back for more tests! Can anyone give more answers or reasons?

Do you feel symptomatic, dizzy/lightheaded when standing for a while? It might be worth going back to your GP and discussing a referral to have a tilt table test. Look up Orthostatic or Postural Hyoptension and POTS- Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome first to see if it fits the description of what you're experiencing.

In the meantime, drink water but with a small amount of fruit juice, eat more fruit with high potassium and avoid prolonged standing. Move about if you have to.

Hello, I had symptoms very similar to yours down to the low potassium. EKG's, Two CT scans, echo cardiogram and multiple blood tests and nothing was found. My Dr also said its anxiety..I now have debilitating dizziness/feeling faint with brain fog..Did you ever find out what was wrong?

      Hi cindyloo,

I have been having the same issues almost for now for a month or more. Constant pressure in my temple and straight across my forehead. Been o the er, had x-rays and a CT scan done and nothing was found. Seems like a tension headache but this is getting rediculous and it bothers me. Not really pain persay but a lot of pressure. They say it could be tension and stress, it could be sinuses, could be any number of things but I don't know. I'm getting frustrated with it. I hope you feel better.
