I cannot stress enough what a nightmare all of this is! It is hard to be sick, all day every day for 2 1/2 years. If I am not throwing up, I am 100% nauseated. It has come down to my saying, " I am having a good day" when I have 10 or 20 minutes when I am not totally nauseated. I try positive thinking and all, but I just need my life back.
My story:
I had my gallbladder removed January 2013. A hernia developed at my surgical site by the belly button and they had to repair that April 2013. My intestine was protruding out my belly button incision. Since that 2nd surgery over 2 years ago I have lived an absolute nightmare. I throw up different times of every day. Food simply doesn't digest. It sits in my stomach, until it sours and up it comes again. I have had a barium swallow study done on an empty stomach and they say everything is fine, but that is just a little cup of liquid, it is not food. Any real food does this to me. I have done a stomach emptying study with radioactive elements and it was one egg and a piece of toast. They said after 4 hours all was fine. Again, a dead end. This doesn't explain why when I eat a regular diet, that it simply does not go down, digest and stay down. I have had every other test in the book, MRIs, CTs, xRays totalling over $200,000 US Dollars. Have tried antacids, acid blockers and have even tried the reverse of apple cider vinegar.
I need my life back and pray that there is just someone out there that can help me.
Is there anyone out there that can help me? I hope you (the one reading this) will be my answer.

l,m answering because l started with nausea 2yr ago, daily from waking to bedtime, went off food, lived off tea and biscuit every 2hours or so, on good eve a small plain meal, tried usual chemist stuff, gaviscon, also ginger, cimetidine, it lasted for weeks, then settled for weejs, then came back, about 4-5 bouts in year and a half, Last Oct became permanent mobility made nausea worse, life became an existance, looked pale and tired, lost weight, finally got referral to gastroenterologist, scan scope showed a bit of inflammation, not enough to explain severe nausea, had petscan, bladder kidney xray, cystascope, various minor probs with them, but again didnt find cause of nausea. l stopped lactose, took probiotic, ginger tea, spring water, stopped taking anti b prescribed as preventative to i cystitus flare ups, also stopped omprazole, and at present its fairly well settled but still cant eat normally as feels fragile yet, but just to be rid of the daily nausea, such a relief, it is horrendous debilitating, very restricting on lifestyle, l couldnt do jobs, near crawled to do them lomin at a time, then sit till it settled, tried again, barely getting out, but so frustrated and bored depressed with it, so l know what you mean about nightmare, thats how l felt. But l was never sick with it, that just adds to making it worse Sorry to read what your experiencing, hope your doctors are still on your case and trying to still help, wonder your not dehydrated with it. But know a little of how your feeling, so really hope someone will answer you who can relate to it more and advice you, keep battling it as l,m sure it will come to an end with right advice. Best wishes.

Hi
I saw you posted this a couple of years ago:
"Yours is my exact story, except this has been going on 2 1/2 years. Sick in the morning, throw up several times in the day and sometimes feel better around 7:00pm until bedtime and it starts over every day! Yep...since April 2013 that's been my life!!! I bought an adjustable bed so I sleep at a 30 degree incline as I thought it could be reflux. Have had every test in the book. Over $200K in diagnostics."
Did you ever find an answer? This pattern is that of my son, aged 15 - except his often starts in the night. He's had no surgery though, except biopsies and an endoscopy - he did have general anaesthetic twice for these. Feeling desperate! Thanks Arlene
