How far will this go?

I have to wonder at this point in my life how far will my polyneuropathy, wheather caused by diabeties or something else, take over.. Will my body cease to fuction? I was told by my Neurologist that by the time I am 73....65 now.....I will lose use of my legss. Will I die from this? What is my prognosis? How does ones accept this kind of thing in their life?

      What do you mean exactly? I hope I can recover and I guess that is what I need to believe.

      Hello..Nerve damage is bad .I know too and have it... apparently they grow 1mm a day.. but they can grow back which therefore helps with mobility.

    Really am sorry to hear what you are going through. I am relunctant to say anything.

    Best advice I can give is to see a specialist that you can talk to to discuss your fears.

    I have seen so many doctors. The main thing I can do now is to maintain and be positive. Example; They removed a Synovial cyst and that helps alot and the doc said that some damage from that cyst to my nerves will heal themselves after awhile. I will walk alot too.....it's  harder with polyneruropathy and I may have to have surgery on a hietial hernia. OOPS, there I go again being negative, ha,
