I'm a 15 year old with PCOS

So I'm 15 and I've recently discovered that I have Polycistic Ovary Syndrome. I'm not scared or worried and I know it's quite common. My only real question is how do the cysts on my ovaries actually cause me to not have periods? I asked my doctor but she didn't explain it very well.

Alex the cysts on your ovaries cause you not to ovulate which in turn causes you not to have your period.

Your prolactin blood levels are most likely elevated. It tricks your brain to believing you just gave birth. Sounds weird but thats the simplest way i can explain it. So you skip or dont get regular periods, become hairier or thicker haired. It is a commin thing if thats comforting.
