    Listen to me.

    I feel petrified.

I am the worlds biggest coward and I have this horrid disease . I thought that I would never get through the day because of the headaches, the throbbing pain in my right eye in particular, the burning, the loss of appetite, I could not eat anything without having a glass of water to drink. in fact I keep a glass of water here at the side of me  all the time and take sips. I also have a glass of water at the bedside as well that I can refill during the night.

The dr advised me to keep sippingbwater , she said it is better than having a glass every hour or so. because it helps to flush the body of toxins.

I have peripheral neuropathy as well. It is scary but we are here to support and help you through this.

You must tell yourself tht you are going to be alright. You have to be positive. Hard to do , easy to say.

However this anxiety is part of the disease/condition. It will ease with the pssage of time, you sound as though you atre having a flare up. It will pass.

Trust me you are not alone in this. We are here to help youand this helps us in turn to cope.

    Hi Suncat,

I know you are feeling bad and your anxiety is taking the upperhand. Anxiety and I are very well aquainted. If you can, I want you to sit quietly for a moment and try to take a couple of deep breaths in and out concentrate on focusing on your issues one at a time. Ok you are dry, one of the side effects of meds like Lexapro is dry mouth I assume that if it can dry your mouth it can contribute to drying everything else. When you get your diagnosis and you start treatment alot of these issues will start to subside but until then try to treat them individually.  I would suggest continuing with the Saline spray often through the day(I do).

Have you tried Biotene spray for your mouth or a product similar it really helps and lubricating drops for your eyes (I keep all these products close by all day) That is the reality and you can do this. Brain fog is a pain! Anxiety causes it as well, so at times it can be embarassing and frustrating (menopause compounded both these for me) and the anxiety of waiting for a diagnosis. How long have you been on the Lexapro? Did you check to see if some of your symptoms can be side effects (headache pain, weight loss) sometimes medications like Lexapro can actually have anxiety and nervousness as a side effect so if you noticed that you are feeling more nervous since you have started taking it maybe a conversation with the doctor is in order. I tried Lexapro and it didn't work for me . Or maybe your dosage needs to be adjusted Anti-Depressants and Anxiety meds unfortunately have to be monitord and adjusted to receive the best benefit. You are in control of this you need to be very upfront and honest with your Doctor and read what you can about each drug I also read patient blogs on drugs I am taking it helps to know what other people experience. Stomach issues are common with SS and Side effects of meds plus if you are trying to gain weight you may be eating differently and that may cause issues. I used over the counter meds until I went and was diagnosed with Gerd then I had an RX. After my diagnosis and started on the Plaqunil my stomach improved and dont have to take the RX anymore. You can deal with heart burn it is annoying and painful but you can do this. Also Ibuprofen can irritate your stomach so watch what you take for pain. I know it can all be overwhelming take deep breaths and try to keep in mind this is not a runaway train you have the smarts and the resources to deal with all these issues. Feel better,

    Sally

My sinuses are clogged as well.

Have you tried some serious decongestants?

Also saline spray for the nose may help some.

What caused you to lose the weight exactly?

      Suncat

Please get some hot lemon and honey for your throat.

Phone for a dr and tell him how anxious you are.

      Is there a dr nearby?

      Are you living in Oz?

      Stop panicking.

Panic attacks are part of this syndrome. You must ring for a dr.

You may need some simple decongestants. Have you go asthma? Have you got sinusitis? Do you have migraines? Are you taking codeine?  Kind regards]

Yes. You tell yourself that you are going to be all riht. Have you become acclimatised to the heat yet? Were u born in, lived in Australia for long etc.

FIRST AID TREATMENT FOR HEAT EXHAUSTION.

It sounds like over heating, heat exhaustion. You need to know what to do in these situations.

Get some water on cloths or tissues and apply to your pulse points to cool your blood down. keep changing them when they get warm, th eiedea is to cool the blood down and the body, this  is called tepid sponging. Please do i NOW. Drink WATER.get a jugful .and keep sipping it, put a few grains of salt and sugar in it.

Eat an orange or tomato anything that contains potassium.

Get hold of a dr. Are you in the house, flat on your own? You need someone wiith you but firstly rehdrate yourself  and replace the lost electrolytes.

      Please get a dr.

U need urgent treatment for heat exhaustion.

Fluids. WATER. Not tea of coffee but WATER.

You need to replace the electrolytes, so need a tiny amount of sallt. You need to call a dr NOW and tell him that you are suffering from heat exhaustion and can he please advise you urgently.

Sjogrens is not nice but is not the priority here at the moment.

      I

Get some fluids down you. WATER. Put

      Hi Sheila

Firstly do not drink any alcohol that will make things wose.

I am sorry about what you are going through.divorce is a very stressful process but if he is not supportive then you are better away from that situation.

Why do you have to leave?

      Isn't i 50-50 when you split up?

Have you got a good lawyer?

How come u have no home in LA? where will you how will you survive?

I am in the UK so do not know anything at all about the US system of Social Assistance etc.

Your nasal-nose- problem. You really need to see a dr because I guess that you have a bnasal polyp. These cause horible signs and symptoms BUT are not life threatening, what happens is tha these polys block the nose and cause mucous to be produced which makes your nose run endlessly. I feel sure that the dr can prescribe a nasal spray to slow this process down, you need the diagnosis first though.

Then a referral to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist for removal of the polyp. ENT specialist. You must keep hydrated, that is you must keep drinking pkenty of water but not too much as that can be dangerous. Just a glass an hour with a FEW grains of salt in the glass say three times a day, not in every glass  just in about three a DAY.

You need the honey for energy.

      Try and eat something.

relax. you can get through this. Lotsof others have so can you.

Things will improve but at the moment you need to focus on the following:

Keeping your fluid intake at an adequate and safe level.

      Getting enough electrolyes.

      Eating.

      Keeping out of the sun.

Tepid spongingthe pulse points in your body. These are the wrists, palms of hands, forehead, groins. Plenty of water.

Listening to relaxation tapes and/or relaxing music.

Seeing a dr about your possible nasal polyp and getting an inhaler or spray.

Keep your confidence up, your husband wil try to put you down , do not let him get to you.
