I just had my pre-op for a myomectomy. And, my doctor said I could return to work after 1 to 2 weeks after surgery. Is it me, or does this seem to be too soon to return to work after a surgery?

I am due for abdominal myo. in two weeks, my largest fibroid is 9 cm. I am seeing my gyne. next week for a second opinion because i am dreading the ab. route and would rather do something less invasive. You have done yours vaginally, why didn't my gyne. suggest vaginal? Is it because of the size of the fibroid? Thanks in advance for any help.

I also found that after the myomectomy when you have your 1st menstrual cycle be prepared to experience heavy cramping.
