Addisons or Cushings Disease?

LONG STORY SHORT felt I had underactive thyroid and had blood test which confirmed it, have been taking this medication for about a year now but now getting other symptoms which sometimes point to addisons and sometimes to cushings. I recently had to take some steroids for a few days, plus some pain killers, wow, all of the symptoms became much worse - found out should not take them really as they can make ADRENAL problems worse. Have also found out that some people think they have thyroid when it is adrenal and you can get thyroid due to adrenal.

    That's what I suspect - when I was treated for a hyper thyroid, perhaps it would have been better if the adrenals had been checked as well.  Maybe it was the adrenals to begin with.  Unfortunately this is all hindsight.  Once the hyper thyroid was treated with RAI (Radio Active Iodine)  there never was a way back.  Medication for the thyroid, now hypo, never worked well.  I struggled for some 25 years, always tired, brain fog, later also virtigo, ear ringing, and a super low immunity to any bug and thus always catching flues and infections.  Till my adrenals were helped with medication.  I can do more now, 65, than when I was 35.

    Underactive pituitary can cause underactive thyroid and underactive adrenals (and various other hormones). You need to press hard to see an endocrinologist who can look at the whole problem, not just some symptoms.
