PCOS

Hi, I went for a ultrasound today and the synographer says she can see polycystic ovaries, I am going to see my GP next week to discuss my ultrasound and my options. I think I'm going to push a refereal to a consultant as they are specialised and will be able to offer other options which could help, was just wondering if anyone else with this has been refered to a consultant?

This is now widely accepted to be an autoimmune condition related to metabolism. There is lots of evidence that a low carbohydrate diet helps. Metformin is also used in some cases.

PM me if you would like.

An élimination diet helped to remove trigger foods. And avoiding carbohydrates after 6 pm was also really helpful. Are you looking at general lifestyle or trying to get pregnant too?
