Help for pain, pain go away

Such good advice! Thanks! We all seem to have tried many things with varying degrees of success. My most recent attempts are :- cod liver oil capsule, ginger capsule, and garlic capsule one a day of each. I have also been taking "Bioglan" which is "good" bacteria in capsule form, once a day. Nothing to cause any serious problems......... as prescribed medication can do...... but no great improvement yet. Just don't know what else to try. So thankful to be able to discuss this with people who understand how distressing this can be.

Yes I agree. A good exchange of ideas that have worked for others.  Nothing really cures this - it is just a matter of extending out the time before surgery of some kind is required.  It is surprising when I think back how strong I felt I was to take it all in stride, but as the years go along and you watch yourself being less and less able to participate socially it can get you down for sure.  People just don't get it - there really is no point in trying to go out for dinner, be invited over for dinner or have some one over because of the problems with food. So this limits socialization possibilites, travel etc. It is not easy and I understand totally. Best. Donna

Perfect summary of the situation, Donna. After living with this for a few years, I have realised how much it is affecting my life. Gradually doing less and less, very little socialising, too much time spent doing nothing through lack of energy. It controls everything in your life. With all the advances in medicine, surely something can be found that will help. A visit to the hospital shows how vast the problem is and the number of patients that need help.

Yes you are right. It is not a "glamorus" disease and those contributing to research are usually headed up by men.  Breast cancer research has more money than it knows what to do with.

I have a friend that has breast cancer, she is bald from the chemo, but hasn't changed her lifestyle at all. No nausea, no pain,She is still working, exercising, socializing. Boggles my mind. How is this possible?  I wish her the best outcome.

If you need to talk again, just shoot me an email. Cause.....I will be here.

      Best - Donna
