Confused :(

Hello I've been on here before as 2 months ago I was told I had a 5 cm complex cyst. The consultant advised that I was rescanned four weeks later which showed that the cyst had shrunk slightly and that another cyst had appeared on my left ovary.

I had my follow up appointment yesterday. The consultant was so rude and I couldn't of been in the room for longer than a minute. He just said you havnt got cancer, we can draw a line and off you go.

I asked him about the abdominal pain which I get and that it's excruciating during and after sex etc. With a very blunt reply he said ' not my area, I'm here to tell you if you have cancer or not'.

Although I was elated to hear I don't have cancer, I'm still in pain and have suffered like this for yrs now. More so since I had prolapse surgery 4 yrs ago. I've also still got a complex cyst on my right ovary and another simple one on the left which had appeared in 3 weeks!!! He said nothing!!!

I'm just so very confused by all the conflicting information. About 5 yrs ago I was admitted to hospital for abdominal pain and was told I'd had a ruptured cyst. 5 yrs later and I still can't have sex without being doubled up for hrs and sometimes days. Not a day goes by where I don't have abdominal pain. If it's not the cysts what could it be ? I'm had enough and so upset and frustrated.

Any advice/ support would be most welcome.

Thank you

Best wishes

Vicky

Don't stop fighting hunny! Switch to another gyne if possible. I pushed for months and months to be heard, also in excruciating pain. My first gyne told me to just wait until the cyst popped! The cyst would never have popped as it was solid not fluid.

I basically went to the new gyne and said I want it out and I want it out as soon as possible.

    Hi Vicky

I would suggest going to A&E (i am presuming you are in the UK) next time you are in a great deal of pain - go to the A&E of the hospital that specialises in Gynae in your area and just don't take no for an answer! Sometimes A&E doctors are so good at getting to the bottom of isues that aren't taken seriously by anyone else.

List ALL symptoms and just tell them how dreadful you are feeling.

You may have already done this so I am sorry if I am late to the party but it certainly worked for me and I had a 12cm *12cm dermoid cyst removed after being told by my GP that I was just sufferring with Kidney Stones!!

Give it a go and don't hold back.
