Does everyone gain weight on 20mg amitriptyline - have been on it for 1 month

    I've been on 25mg tablets for 9 months now. It's helped with headaches but the condition I have means I'm less active. I've put on about a stone but I think that's more to do with not being able to exercise as much. The actual tablet itself doesn't make you put weight on, what it could do is increase your appetite. I know I sometimes feel like I want to eat more on a night.

    Have you had any side affects? My arms sometimes get pins and needles during the night and I also twitch in my sleep.

      Hi

      I get twitches. Sometimes they are really strong. Also tingling body. My headaches haven't improved with the medication
