is there any truth to this? It seems a bit unlikely though?

I'm always intrigued. A lot of people hold their anxiety in their gut and flush out their good bacteria. Do some google searches about gut bacteria and anxiety. I know you can take probiotic tablets for it

Hi Iris, I suffer with severe anxiety since I was a child am quite sure its not linked to gut bacteria, its usually because of traumas or big upheavals in peoples lives and anxiety is sure thing of worrying about future etc and depression is usually related to living in the past, hope this helps, good luck xx

I've been reading articles on Google. Of course life's traumas cause anxiety and depression. It's called reactive depression, as mine is. However some people have too many bad bacteria in the gut which upsets the balance of serotonin....which is actually made in the gut. Hope that clarifies things for you
