I CAN SEE MY OWN VEINS IN THE EYES!!!

Is it normal to see your eye veins when you flash light into your eyes? Sometimes I flash lights using my cellphone flashlight in my periphery but this is the first time it ever happened. I saw my own eye veins in front! I got really scared. Has anyone experienced this? Or am I the only one?

First of all stop flashing light in your eyes. Yes,i believe its normal. At an eye exam people often see the veins in their eyes when being viewed with a slit lamp. There is also an optical phenomenon where you can see the branching of the veins in your eye. You can google it.

No you are not the only one, I had the same thing happen for the first time last week at the eye clinic when my eyes were examined, It has never happened before although I have had loads of tests during the time I had shingles 3 months ago, I still have eye checks! Some of the lights are very bright but they are the specialists so I don't worry!

All normal. This effect used to fascinate me when I was quite young.
