Leg ulcer healing

My venous ulcer is healing brilliantly with silver plasters given to me by my hospital nurses.  The silver cloth is expensive but surely less so than daily or weekly visits to a district nurse for bandaging.

Hi, really pleased you've found something effective.  I'd be interested to know if it's Atrauman AG or Acticoat, both silver dressings, as my venous ulcers have healed in the past with the Atrauman AG. I've had venous ulcers since my early thirties but only had the Atrauman treatment in recent years. With my present one, the nurses have tried the Acticoat but I feel the pain has increased and the ulcer looks larger, so can you please say which treatment you're using? Whichever it is, I'm really pleased your ulcer is healing as I know only too well how they take over your life.

Thank you for your email.  I am 80 years old and this is the first time I have developed a leg ulcer due to my venous problem.  The dressing is Acticoat Flex 3.  Unfortunately I am also helping out with my 50 year old daughter who has breast cancer so I am grateful this ulcer is healing.

Thank you for letting me know. That's the one being used on mine at the moment but not giving the good results you're getting.  I'm 74 years old so have had venous ulcers for 40+ years.  I too had breast cancer last year so can understand how your daughter's feeling.  My best wishes to her and to you.

Silver is brilliant for healing topically (Outside the body)  it can be taken in fluid form in drops internally as well which is a great healing agent for the body..
