Alendronic Acid 70mg Dosage

As the topic suggests I would like to know the recommended dosage of Alendronic Acid for 11 year old kid.

    ZERO! Never give that to a child. I would not take it let alone give to a child. Totally unnecessary and very dangerous to give to a child!

      The child is suffering from osteogenisis imperfecta and a history of multiple fractures and left femur and right tibia febula from last 1 year he is on bed rest what do you recomend.

      The medication he is taking is Vitamin D3 Calcium namely

      Alfacidol capsules 1mcg 

      Cancenate Calcium Carbonate 600mg

      Also the Orthopedics doctor who recently examined him recomended alendronic acid 

      can we give him a 70mg alendronic acid tablet to an 11 year old kid once every week or 1 tab 10mg every day

      Maybe see more specialists as AA is very drastic for a child.

      I would not give this medication lightly as the side effects are pretty horrendous and so few children would have taken it up to now that it makes it even more questionable.

      Get a second and third opinion!
