i absolutely cannot cope with the Gritty...increasingly worsening sensation of dare I say dehydrated eyes from taking blood pressure medication. copious amounts of lubricating drops recommended by specialist opthlmolgists makes no difference whatsoever.
the soreness is so painful...when I blink the lid feels like it's scrapping the sclera.
i have reacted badly to amniodipine and now candesartan which are milder tablets.I was ok on 4 mg.....now increased to 8 ....unbearable.
i understand that many of the beta blockers and diuretics have the side effect.
is anyone on a medication that does not have this side effect.
i appreciate that many people do not react...or have adverse reactions.
certainly have I have an appointment with my doctor to change the medicine.
i appreciate any opinions.
thanks for reading this...wishing you all harmony in this new year!😊🎻🎵

I know nothing about those medications though, so can't help you there.
Did you really try all the eye drops going around? Many of us are allergic to the preservatives and I had to go through about eight before I found the one that worked for me – I should say the three that work for me, because I still rotate them.

Did you find a blood pressure tablet more suitable?
I am being driven mad with the same thing. I am on 20mg of candisartan and 25 mg of spironolactone.
I wake up each night between 2 and 5 times each night to add gel. It has very little effect. My eyes are constantly sore and I dread going to sleep each night.
Many thanks
EL
