I was admitted to hospital in Singapore for Endoscopic Sympathectomy and was expecting to be discharged same or next day. I became very ill and was kept in for two more days until my fever dropped. When at home I became even more ill and experienced all the symtoms you mention except I had no blood in sputum. I was referred to a specialist and given antibiots. On my next I discovered I had pneumonia caused by legionella. I am still very unwell more than 5 months later and have been on antibiotics almost continuously because of Microplasma. I read you artical to try and get more knowledge about how long I can expect to be ill........this was not covered very well........as my doctor has said it could be for life. Anyway, the info is the best I found yet, thank you.

I just though it may be halpfull to mention that a few years after having Legionaires disease I developed M.E. Some of the symptoms are similar. It may be worth you looking them up to see if it corresponds to how you are feeling now.
