Cystoscopy, Kidney Scan ordered after blood (micoscopic) in Urine Female 36

Hello.

After six months of Muscle pain fatigue, joint pain and general fatigue, urinary incontinence and brain fog (last week I have had abdomenal pain going towards my back as the day goes on).

I was referred to a neurologist who promptly referred me to a urologist.

Urine sample undertaken microscopic amounts of blood were found on two separate occasions. Pelvic examination and bladder U/S were done.

He has now ordered a cystoscopy, kidney scan and a urinary diagnostc test. To say I'm concerned is an understatement.

All my blood tests have come back within the normal range.

Has anyone else had experience of this?

It could be several things l guess, including a kidney problem, and many can be improved with meds. But worth looking for intersticial cystitus, that causes urine frequency, and other symptoms including abdo pain, lower back hip pain, pelvic area generally, samples might show blood without any bacteria being present as its to do with inflammation rather than infection,  it can cause fatigue and brain fog and is often connected with cfs, fibromyalgia, but its possible symptons are just down to one cause.  They have a specialist site, c.o.b, that gives more info and advice on bladder problems.  But it is diagnosed by cystascope, only way really, at least it sounds like theyre being thorough in looking for diagnoses quick, good luck.

l guess it could still by intersticial cystitus, but possibly kidney, and you are on list for kidney scan and cystascope, which are best way of finding out what the problem is, but always waiting list, if theyve referred you as urgent it shouldnt be long, if not push for them to do that, If you become very ill with pain or vomiting you could always go into a and e. But check out c.o.b site as they have forum and phone help line, and probable someone will relate to your symptoms, good luck
