Concerning Weight Loss

I asked this question on a different website but haven't gotten any responses, so I might as well try this.

I am a female, but I identify as a man, 5 feet and 5 inches, and I currently weigh 124. However around 2 months ago I weighed 145, more or less.

Is that healthy or should I actually be concerned? I'm worried that I'm just being over dramatic.

My eating habits aren't great as I usually just have a few snacks like a candy bar, chips, cheese and crackers, and sometimes fruit, but it's just one or two of these plus dinner sometimes. Like I'll eat half a bar for breakfast and the other half for lunch, and then an actual meal at dinner. Sometimes I eat more than 1 meal.

I've started tracking my calories intake and it's pretty much 1000, and I have to do a lot of walking.

I think I might have ARFID, but I'm not sure if the people at my school that could maybe help me know what that is.

    i would see a doctor for sure im 5ft petite and weigh 113 it couldnt hurt to find out and make sure your ok im really not sure what arfid is but losing that much deff seems off good luck too you i hope for the best

      Also arfid is a type of eating disorder, the full name being Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder.

    I believe you are within a healthy weight range for your height still at 124 but may quickly become nutrient deficient. You were also healthy at 145 given the basic ratio.

    1000 calories per day is less than you should be consuming, which means you'll continue to lose weight & may feel disoriented given the lack of healthy food choices you're consuming. I would recommend a weight maintenance range now of 1500+ depending on how active you are with the walking.

    Your weight loss is rather rapid & would likely be concerning to your GP. Book an appointment & perhaps you can get a referral to a specialist. Eating too few calories & losing weight too fast can mess with your metabolism & make weight loss more difficult in the long run. Restrictive dieting can backfire on you that way. It might be more enjoyable to consider a healthy diet of abundance? Like loads of fruit & veggies, grains, & lean protein/healthy fats.

    Hang in there & don't be afraid to ask for help if your instincts are telling you you may have a restrictive disorder forming.

      I've found out that it wasn't in two months, but it was still concerning. I also lost some more weight.

      Also, I'm not restricting my diet on purpose. My appetite is off, and when I was at school I felt that I didn't have enough time to eat. Plus I didn't/don't like the feeling of food being in my stomach and I have a limited amount of foods that I can eat because of sensory problems. I'm branching out though.
