Can't swallow

HI

i'm new here. Has anyone had excess saliva and sores on the roof of the mouth four days after coming off lansoprale?

    Could be extra-oesophageal reflux is carrying acid into your mouth.

    Why were you taking lansoprazole and why did you sto?

      hi

      i took for heartburn. i've never had reflux. i stopped it because i've found some alarming information on it which i'm about to put on here.

      Go to the www BarrettsWessex org uk website and you'll find all about the scare stories regarding lansoprazole and other PPIs. Use the left hand navigation pane and find "PPI dangers" under Treatment/Drugs.

      But if you do need them, make sure you are being advised by a doctor.
