Platelet rich plasma?

Has anyone in the UK tried prp? I've had alopecia areata for 13 years now. I've tried many treatments over the years. I've been to my gp today and she's put in a referral for prp along with endless tests. She mentioned that she isn't sure if prp is on the NHS and that I may have to go private if I wish to try it. If anyone's used/using/or planning to use prp I'd really appreciate some knowledge and opinions.

I have not done it, but have been looking, not sure if it helps AGA. In the US there is famous doctor in Florida, doctor Greco, people fly from all over the country.

So check his prices vs UK, may be cheaper here even w flight...

They say every 3 months to maintain.

utologous PRP contains different growth factors and other cytokines which may elicit gathering of stem cells around the damaged region stimulating cellular proliferation and tissue regeneration.
