Hi all,

So happy to have found this forum! Have been diagnosed since about two months now. The pain i´ve been experiencing for about a year now. Doctor has prescribed me zaldiar for now and it does work. It makes the pain less sharp and I am able to do my daily routine. Still it is an emotional condition cause the pain gives me anxiety and that is no fun to put it mildly. I´ll start reading and answering...No native speaker here so sorry for the way I writewink

      Hi Millie,

Thank you for responding. It can also get me down. I mean not to know if en when it will go away. Also the pain is not always the same or related to the same circumstances. I try to link them together, maybe with time it will make some sence or not. I hear you about a stress free life...trying to but not always succeeding. Hope your medacation works for you...but I see you have tried several already...

      All the best!

      Hi caitlin,

I sure home the zaldiar will work after a longer period of time. Your medication is a anti depressive isnt it? My dokter also mentioned those to me...is your pain acceptable or is it gone?...

      Take care!

      Hi Lobsang.

Amitriptline used to be used as an anti-depressant but they found out it also helps  nerve pain.  the Nortriptyline is a new generation of the same family of drugs but is more geared towards nerve pain & inflammation. It worked a treat for me.  I had the the Costochondritis for 4 years. It was agony.

I looked up Zaldiar - looks like another version of Ultram - Tramadol.

Unfortunately, that did nothing for me ....

Took my pill...went to go on my daily routine and then was happy to feel the anxiety go away, togheter with the pain. So all ended well today for now!
