Swollen feet/ankles for 4 weeks

Hi my hubby is suffering from swollen feet and ankles. Has been for approx 4 weeks. His feet don't go down at night they are they same all day and all night. He was experiencing a tight pain in his calf but he said that isn't as bad now. He's had a blood test for clot but they came back negative. But the Drs haven't told him what it is. I've been doing some reading up about it and it could be kidney failure, liver failure etc I want him to go hospital to get checked out but he keeps saying he is ok. He's also type 2 diabetic.

Am I over reacting or does he need to go hospital 😔

No, you are not overreacting - at all!  A good physician would do some tests for liver and kidney or send you to specialists.  You can also ask your doctor to do some of those tests or send you to someone who does.  I wouldn't mess around with this, especially if he is diabetic, especially if the swelling doesn't go down at night.  Hope you get some answers soon.  Best to you all.

Hi thanks very much for replying. To be honest think he just doesn't want to be sat in hospital for 4 hours and be told yeah your fine but like I keep telling him well if they say that then at least it is nothing and you have been checked
