Rectum growth

Hello. I'm a 21 year old male and a while ago I noticed a small, thin, around 5mm long pointy growth in the beginning of the rectum, just after the anus. I found about it because sometimes after using the toilet it sticks out a bit. It is light pink in colour, no pain, bleeding or discomfort. I read online and it doesn't fit any description. Is it possible that the growth is simply a natural formation or could it be something serious?

Thanks.

Hi Chocho.  It could be a skin tag or haemerroid. with any lump of any kind, it is always best to get your doctor to examine & check it out. (don't be embaressed, they do it all the time).

its a skin tag, these are common amongst IBD suffers, my surgeon lobbed mine off and didnt even ask me whilst I was having surgery for something else!
