Input on MRIs?

Hi Friends,

I am not yet diagnosed. Have ruled our Lyme's, vitamin deficiences, lupus, thyroid, parkinson's and everything else under the sun with blood tests.  I live in a somewhat rural area, and neuros are very hard to get into (as is the case, in many places, i am learning!)   I have very lucky to have gotten an appt with an MS specialist in another city in a couple of weeks!  My symptoms are: intention tremors (they are progressing--hence any typos--typying is a little difficult for me now!)   Troubles walking/stiffness on my right side/heat sensation on my left thlgh, fatigue, and a dizziness/car sick feeling. That gets a lot worse when I'm typing or reading.   I did have a brief neuro consult in the ED last week.  In her report she said that her is unsure of the cause, but believe I have some neuro disorder.  She said she does not believe i have MS because brain and spine scans were negative.  She didn't think an LP was warranted based on the MRI scans.

Here are some of my scans--the brain was done without contrast. Spinal with and without contrast. I don't believe the neuro I saw in the ED looked at my brain- just went off radiologist report, but she did look at my spine MRI after I asked her to. She said she agreed with radiologist and that only mild disc buldges are visible.

I have a friend who has MS and she said she may see some lesions....I know this must be decided by experts--but in the meantime, i'd appreciate any opinions, insight.

thank you!

Fight for a diagnosis, bulging discs I think are linked, I had two prolapsed discs but they started out as 'slipped' hopefully if you have tests whilst active you'll get an answer. Goid Luck

    your brain is small.

shrinkage? Mine fills the cavity but has many more white lesions

The spinal tap should show bands or no bands..that is how they tell...what is the bulging?

    Get a second opinion.

I expect in UK you'd have to pay, I've seen briefly my brain scan but I wasnt in a fit state to notice. I saw my mums because her neuro was lovely and she showed both of us

I asked the Imaging Center for a copy of a disc with all of the images. They made them up for me right away... It's similar to when you want to get a disc of the ultrasound of your baby I guess! I think it varies in different countries that might be more difficult in the UK? But in the US we are guaranteed them because of HIPAA laws. You just have to remember to ask!
