Tramadol use

Its a great non addictive pain killer. Think of it as a ibuprofen but with out so much asprin in it. I get them. They do work alot better with balchen, but i dnt know y u are taken them. Can you give more i formation about why you are taking them then maybe i can tell you what you need to know better. I do take the same amount as you do but i take mine for my spine and also for my stomach pain but i take them 2 times a day and in the middle i take ibuprofen not to have so much asprin. I refuse to take OTC pills due to a tooth ache i had as a child, i gave myself pancreatic attack almost blew up...

They were originally marketed as having a low potential for addiction, but that has proven to be false. They are an opioid, and as such they are as addictive as any other opioid. But they are pretty safe for short term use, if taken as prescribed.

Some possible reactions include insomnia, nausea, and itching. The thing with this drug is that your body has to metabolize it into the actual active ingredient. Tramadol itself does nothing. Some people process it better than others, so it is difficult to predict exactly how it will affect someone.

For short term use 50mg work great like norco

Norco is a brand name for acetaminophen (Tylenol) and hydrocodone tablets..What distinguishes it from Lortab, Vicodin, etc, is that it uses a reduced amount of  acetaminophen. (Although many others brands are now producing similar tablets.) I think the idea is to save addicts who take large amounts from destroying their livers with acetaminophen

I should mention that there are a lot of drugs that you may not want to take concurrently with tramadol. Mostly, any SSRI antidepressant type drug, but there are others. Migraine medicines in the tryptan class should be avoided. Trycyclic antidepressants, including the muscle relaxer cyclobenzaprine (Flexoril), are also a risk. Read the patient information thoroughly. (I like to ask the pharmacist for the package insert that comes with his big bottle. It contains very detailed information.)

Tramadol is highly addictive and very difficult to come off once your body has become dependant on it. If you are taking it regularly for pain, then you most likely will not even realise you are addicted until you try to stop for a few days. Then it gives you terrible withdrawals. I think it is a useful drug for very short term use (no more than 5 days) but any longer than that and you risk addiction. It also acts as an antidepressant so coming off it can cause rebound clinical depression.

My advice to anyone who is debating whether or not to take this drug is don't, unless you absolutely have to. I was on it for two years and thankfully now been off it for around 6 years. It caused respiratory depression which kept me awake all night because I had to consciously take each breath. I avoided this by never taking it after 2pm. I was left with clinical depression after stopping the drug, which I was treated for with antidepressants for 4 years. I'm now off those too, and doing really well, but in my experience tramadol was a terrible drug. Avoid.
