LOD: The ideal solution?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I was diagnosed with PCOS very recently and don't know much at all yet. From the info given to me by my gynea, Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling seems like the ideal solution when trying to conveive (like I am). Please excuse my ignorance but I am wondering why all women struggling to conceive with PCOS don't just go this route? Why does it not work fore some? Please help out.

    Hi,

The problem is that whilst the surgery helps to get rid of the cysts, it doesn't deal with the actual cause if the problem. Unfortunately, this often means that you do not simply start ovulating again, and the cysts simply come back.

If you are going to go ahead with the surgery, make sure that other steps are being taken to help you manage the underlying problem and to help you achieve regular, healthy ovulation.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck.

    Best wishes

Thanks for the helpful info. It did seem too good to be true for the solution to be as simple as one procedure!
