Seeking a specialist in Neuropathy

I don't have Neuropathic Pain just numbness and need to see a neurologist who specialises in Neuropathy. Does anyone know of one in the Sussex area? I am told that the main UK centre for this specialty is in Bristol.

I have been to a general neurologist and was then referred to a neurosurgeon as the neurologist thought it more suited to a surgeon after seeing my lumbar spine CT scan.. After an MRI scan the neurosurgeon thought it more a problem for a specialist in neuropathy.

I live in Sussex and it was thought that there was a specialist in Brighton but they did not have one. Brighton suggested one who consults at Kings College in London and privately at London Bridge hospital. Travel to either would be a bit difficult for me. I then found that he consulted in Kent at Maidstone NHS Hospital one morning a week and at a private one in Sevenoaks one afternoon a week. It would be very difficult to get to Maidstone in time by train so I elected for Sevenoaks.

Now the clinics are be rearranged and Sevenoaks with now be in the morning starting at 8am so I'm looking for an alternave location if anyone knows of such a specialist.

I'll ask my doctor if they cover the investigations I need. Queens Square would be quite easy to get to. Train to Victoria and bus or taxi.

We use busses in London as we can use our bus passes and the Tube stations involve lot of walking and escalators. In a crowd it is difficult to step off escalators.

I have already been tested for every neurological condition including hereditary ones that is why we are looking for someone who specialises in a narrower area.

His secretary is going to phone me tomorrow perhaps we can find a means of being fitted in before he switches times and locations. It is not a very big town and hotels nearby are rather limited and expensive, Even staying overnight means getting up early in the morning and probably missing breakfast! I had one appointmet once in London when they wanted to fasting blood tests and gave me a noon appointment. I made my hotel breakfast into sandwiches to take with me.
