Denise...I've been fighting Chronic Sinusitis and Nasal Allergies for over 50 years.  That has included several surgeries for removing Nasal Polyps.  I've been to numerous ENT Specialists and Allergists, but none have come up with a cure.  I am able to curtail some of  the symptoms, but I do get flareups from time to time.  Over the years I've been able to determine that some pills and procedures what works for some folks doesn't necessarily work for others.  If I were you I would spend time searching the Internet to find procedures that can work for you.  For example do a Google Search "Clinical Treatments fro Sinusitis".  I would pay more attention to Medical websites than the AD's for alternative treatments that will appear.  Although some types of herbal treatments may be helpful for others you sill need to decide whether or not to try them.  As far as your congestion....if you haven't tried over-the-counter decongestants, you might want to see if they will help.  Your local Pharmasist (sp?) might be helpful to recommend medications to  relieve your symptoms.  I hope you can find relief soon!

I have been struggling for a couple of years myself and what u said was so true. The major problem with sinusitis is that what works for some may not work for others

Like everyone else, I have suffered with severe sinusitis, post nasal drip, plugged ears, sinus headaches and all the rest of it. To add to the misery, I have chronic tinnitus which makes my life miserable.

ENT's are basically useless with sinuses. Most of them say, sinuses are so difficult to treat because they are technically separate from the body. The usual anti biotics may give some relief, but for the most part, the virus or infection runs it's own course and for the chronic issues, they just seem to stick around forever. Anti biotics don't treat viruses so sometimes the only thing antibiotics will do is give you a stomach ache and develop an immunity to that particular med.

My suggestion to you is go to your local pharmacy and buy a SINUGATOR. They work like a charm and certainly give relief. The flushing of the sinuss offer instant relief and the saline solution doesn't hurt or have any baggage. The only other thing you'll need to buy is some distilled water which is recommended. I don't remember what I paid for mine but it wasn't all that expensive. It's battery operated, so unlike the netty pot, you push a button and it sends the solution up one nostril and out the other. I was never a fan of putting anything up my nose but this offered so much relief that I can only recommend it as something to try.

Again, we all know what works for one person, doesn't necessarily work for the other, but give it a try.

I wish you relief sooner than later and take care.

    Glenn
