Bowel Movements keep changing, anxiety has taken over

Hello, basically for a while now my bowel movements consistency and occasional blood on the tissue but not often. Anyway they have been changing a lot, this past week alone it's gone from what i would say a normal movement to mushy/loose for a few days to normal again but smaller than usual as it is now. It's really worrying as I know I shouldn't but when I google it you know what comes up! rarely get pain in the abdomen. Or anything else that I could think is related. I have a coating on the tongue/post nasal drip since march. Had a full blood count test in june that came back normal except for vitamins D deficency. I don't even know if that kind of blood test would show up for anything like that. I have been referred to a specialist next month. I have a coating on the tongue/post nasal drip since march. Very worried only 22 years old

Looking at Google to find out about symptoms is the best way to scare oneself silly!  If your blood test included liver function for CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) and this came back as normal then you should have nothing to worry about since this is the standard test for the possibility of bowel cancer.  The meeting that you have arranged with the specialist will, hopefully, settle all of your concerns.  In the meantime, comfort yourself with the knowledge that bowel cancer at your age is quite rare and even in the unlikely event that you do suffer from it, treatment is very successful these days.

There are many things that can affect the way that the digestive system works, some of them are transient in nature and others are more long term.  Hopefully, you have just gone through one of the transient cases!  No doubt the consultation that you have set up will answer all of your concerns.

You will soon feel better after the consultation next month -

Do you have friends/family who can go with you on 'the day'-

May not be as bad as you think.

Don't google it anymore-that won't be of any use to you.

Could be a haemorhoid or some sort of infection in that part of the body.

Just don't jump to any conclusions untll you speak to a specialist.

    Let us know what happens.

As Anthony says to have cancer at your age is very rare!

    Good Luck
